PTE Re-Order Paragraph

 

The Reorder Paragraph questions test the ability of a test taker to judge the logical relation between the paragraphs apart from checking the grammatical relations within the text.

In Re-Order Paragraphs tasks, several text boxes appear on the screen in a random order. You have to arrange the boxes to make a meaningful paragraph. You will be get high score if you have the ability to re order the passage in correct order.

Tips to Improve PTE Reading Re-Order Paragraph

1. First find out the independent sentence.
2. By finding independent sentence you need to remember/follow these tips.
3. Independent sentence will give a general idea or will introduce the topic.
4. It will mainly consist of and will introduce a person’s name, any technical term, book title, research names, place, situation or concept.
5. Independent sentence will not be dependent on other sentences or clauses for any kind of information.
6. If you can’t find an independent sentence, then consider each sentence and see that can you use this sentence to start conversation with a stranger.
7. Look for connecting words.
8. A pronoun will always come after a noun.
9. General noun will always come before specific noun.
10. If there are any kind of examples, they will most likely come after the explanation of the same topic.
11. Sequence of transition words Firstly, Secondly, However, But, Lastly, to conclude.
12. Write the date and time in sequence.
13. Sentences with indefinite articles will always come before the sentences with definite articles.
14. Indefinite articles (A, An) Definite articles (The).
15. If there is any acronym or short form along with the complete term, sentence with the complete term will always come before the sentence containing acronym.
16. No negative marking.
17. Least important in reading module.
18. Answer the question within 1:45 seconds and do not waste much time on it.
19. Time is shared.
20. Be confident and do not hesitate.
21. Do not skip question un-attempted.
22. Overall question 2-3 and each carry equal points.
23. Total points are 5.9.
24. Reading points 5.9.
25. Submit the answer after the passage in correct order.
