Tips to Improve PTE Reading Re-Order Paragraph
- First find out the independent sentence.
- By finding independent sentence you need to remember/follow these tips.
- Independent sentence will give a general idea or will introduce the topic.
- It will mainly consist of and will introduce a person’s name, any technical term, book title, research names, place, situation or concept.
- Independent sentence will not be dependent on other sentences or clauses for any kind of information.
- If you can’t find an independent sentence, then consider each sentence and see that can you use this sentence to start conversation with a stranger.
- Look for connecting words.
- A pronoun will always come after a noun.
- General noun will always come before specific noun.
- If there are any kind of examples, they will most likely come after the explanation of the same topic.
- Sequence of transition words Firstly, Secondly, However, But, Lastly, to conclude.
- Write the date and time in sequence.
- Sentences with indefinite articles will always come before the sentences with definite articles.
- Indefinite articles (A, An) Definite articles (The).
- If there is any acronym or short form along with the complete term, sentence with the complete term will always come before the sentence containing acronym.
- No negative marking.
- Least important in reading module.
- Answer the question within 1:45 seconds and do not waste much time on it.
- Time is shared.
- Be confident and do not hesitate.
- Do not skip question un-attempted.
- Overall question 2-3 and each carry equal points.
- Total points are 5.9.
