PTE Repeat Sentence

 

PTE repeat sentence question type comes second in the exam for the speaking section. Listen the audio carefully, all students feel easy at first. But, when it comes to the exam day it brings down your confidence when unfamiliar words are put to pronounce.

Tips to Improve PTE Speaking Repeat Sentence

1. Remember take care of the mic position.
2. Microphone must be placed parallel to the chin for best result.
3. This position will ensure that your breathing sound is not captured while speaking.
4. Avoid touching the microphone, because touching the microphone are creating unnecessary sound, which can lower your PTE speaking score.
5. 3-9 seconds audio length.
6. Listen the audio track carefully.
7.  Prepare the sentence within one second.
8.  Do not start speaking before the start time.
9.  Repeat the sentence in a natural way.
10. Write first half of the sentence and remember the next half or remember the sentence in chunks.
11.  Do not correct or repeat the wrong word again.
12.  You do not need to repeat the same sentence 100%.
13.  If you are unable to pick the whole sentence you only need to repeat 60-70 % contents accurately in a natural way.
14.  Sequence is not essential only repeat the contents of the spoken sentence.
15.  Need sharp short term memory.
16. The sentence may be long up to 15-17 words.
17. If the sentence is difficult to speak then you can skip the complicated words or repeat only easy part of the sentence.
18.  If the sentence is too long, then use the template i.e. I can hear then speak 4-5 words you pick from the sentence and the add this sentence at the end I am so happy. Example I can hear university, department, library and I am so happy.
19. Time is shared.
20. Most important question in speaking section.
21. Be confident and do not hesitate.
22. Overall question 8-10 and each carry equal points.
23. Total points are 51.8.
24. Speaking points are 32.1.
25. Listening points are 19.7.
26. Focus on fluency and pronunciation.
27. Question is marked based on content pronunciation and fluency.
28. Submit the answer after finishing speaking.
29. If you do not speak within 3 seconds, then your answer will be marked as skipped.
30.  Practice a few times before the exam, to maintain listening speed and also speaking fluency.
